The film above captures a region that continually draws me back — not for recognition, but for how it feels. Ancient mountains rising from open moorland. Quiet lochs reflecting shifting skies. Roads that wind through landscapes so vast they recalibrate your sense of scale.

This is Scotland in its purest form.

It is this sense of adventure — and my deep connection to these landscapes — that led me to create Jason Baxter Tours.

Assynt — Raw, Refined, Remarkable

Assynt is one of Scotland’s most distinctive regions. Peaks such as Suilven, Quinag and Ben More Assynt rise dramatically from the surrounding land, sculptural and solitary against expansive Highland skies.

The terrain here is ancient, shaped over millions of years, and remarkably untouched by mass tourism. There is space — real space — to breathe and absorb the scale of it all.

This is how I spend my spare time: exploring, searching for new perspectives, documenting the beauty of Scotland through photography and film. Not because I have to — but because I’m compelled to.
